The band currently consists of three members: vocalist and guitarist CARNIFEX, lead guitarist adventor and drummer Garghuf. And they has released a demo, an Ep and three studio albums to date: ‘Demo 99’ (1999), ‘Avernus EP’ (2001), ‘Praesidium’ (2005), ‘Haeretichristus’ (2008), and ‘Ad Discipulum’ (2010).
The band’s music is characterized by fast tempos, aggressive riffing, and dark, atmospheric melodies. .. The lyrics of Nefarium are mainly in English, with some occasional words in Latin. They deal with topics such as death, darkness, and anti-Christianity. The band has been known to use strong language and graphic imagery in their lyrics, which has led to some controversy.. The band’s second album entitled “Haeretichristus”, which is a Latin term meaning “heretic Christ”. This album deals with the idea of Christ being an impostor and a false prophet.
We mainly speak about religion, focusing on Catholic episodes that influence everyday life. Like pedophilia or psychological attempts to weaken society through fake teachings from Ecclesiastical speeches. We live in a country where Catholicism is everywhere and the Vatican has massive control over schools, media, work, and, of course, music, so who could better know the worst side of this religion than the people that live here? Since we were very young, religious education gave us the opportunity to study the Bible and we feel lucky because if you want to be against something, you have to know every detail about it; with Ad Discipulum, we simply created a statement against the Church.
