dusk and her embrace

Cradle Of Filth Dusk and Her Embrace Review

Posted on May 20, 2022May 20, 2022 By blackmetaltv No Comments on Cradle Of Filth Dusk and Her Embrace Review

With this sublime full length “Dusk and Her Embrace”, Cradle of filth gives a new dimension to symphonic black metal and mixes it with an amazing different musical atmospheres, killer sound and voices of all kinds… Dani and his band mates have really pulled out all the stops with innovative compositions, great riffs and subtle breaks. The vocals are incredibly rich and fit perfectly into the musical environment.

Cradle of Filth 1996

Talking about the titles, Each title of the album brings its share of surprises and thus demonstrates the extraordinary potential of the English band which lays here a record where we find nothing to throw away. Songs like “A gothic romance” or “Malice through the looking glass” are now classics in the genre. “Dusk… and her embrace” is a real demonstration of musical mastery that puts their direct competitors (starting with Dimmu borgir) light years behind them.

This is for me Cradle Of Filth’s most successful album. Cradle proved that Black Metal could be more than hyper-aggressive music with minimal production. Dusk showed that Black Metal could also become rich and complex, melodic and bewitching music without losing its aggressive and unhealthy side. After Dusk, nothing will be like before.
